Besides Original Medicare, and Medigap (Medicare Supplement), S/L Insurance represent several national and state oriented health care carriers who provide Medicare Part C Programs. Medicare Advantage are programs administered by private companies, authorized to offer services in Michigan, that coordinate Original Medicare Part A and Part B services. In some cases, they also provide Part D Prescription Drug services. These are known as MAPD.

Most Medicare Advantage programs have a Maximum Out Of Pocket Annual Limit (MOOP) and provided additional benefits in the way of dental, hearing and vision.

Some carriers offer MA programs only.
